Jake, Echo, and C.C.
You may remember back in March when I introduced you to sweet Coco. Even though we are cat people, we were all in love with the neighbor's little Miss Coco. I came home over my lunch time to let her out and the boys, Austin especially, enjoyed talking her on walks after school. We were devastated when she did not make it through her surgery to be spayed.
Sometimes the best thing to mend a broken heart is a new little face to love. The neighbors had been on the lookout for a Coco look-a-like if possible and were able to find one online. In talking with the breeder it was mentioned that the little girl had a sister. So, two puppies were going to be brought home to the neighborhood!
We were all excited and couldn't wait to meet them. I had decided that they needed a little welcome home sign so I worked the day before on getting it ready. It said, "Welcome Home - It's Twins!" Then I received a text the morning they were coming home that said, "We are bringing 3 babies home! Yeah!" Hmmm...I needed to make a quick change to the sign!
I was able to get the sign on their garage door about an hour or so before they got home. Many neighbors saw it and ran out to grab "baby" gifts! The neighbors pulled around the corner with their new little ones, and we ended up with an impromptu puppy shower that went into the wee hours of the morning complete with food, frivolity and a fire in the fire pit! I love my neighborhood :)
Aaron grilled.
Oreo came over to check out the action.
And we were all thankful there were 3 puppies to be passed around! Welcome to the 'hood puppies!
