This little guy and his brother are hanging with us again today. While the other three were gone this morning to football camp and other activities, Braden and I had lots of giggles on the swing and quite the conversation. It went like this...
B: Why is the grass wet?
L: Because it rained last night.
B: Why did it rain?
L: God must have wanted it to.
B: Where does God live?
L: He lives in Heaven.
B: Where is Heaven?
L: In the sky.
B: Is God looking at us?
L: He can see us all the time.
B: Does he know I'm naughty?
L: (Trying hard not to giggle!) He knows when your naughty.
B: Does He like it when I'm naughty?
L: No, but He forgives you.
B: Are you naughty?
L: Sometimes.
B: When you yell at Austin and Carter?
L: Hmmm...yes.
B: God sees that.
L: I know. He sees everything.
B: Let's try to hide from Him.
Then he jumped off the swing to go and hide! Oh how I've forgotten how conversations with four-year-olds go!
How cute! At least he's not making up jokes that don't make sense!

ReplyDeleteA new critter to the collection today - yes. As we were walking to the van from the pool, he found the fattest caterpillar I've ever seen. Needless to say it came home with us and will be going home with HIM :)
